Instructor Steve Ford shows us how it's done

Fishtail Riding School, one of the region's top motorcycle track day riding schools, is partnering with retired NH State Police Motorcycle Officer, Steve Ford to offer slow speed motorcycle training school this summer. The classes are held at NH Motor Speedway in Loudon NH and cost $150.

The class will teach students the proper techniques for riding at slow speed. Drills include slow speed weaving through cones, u-turns, circles and other patterns.

Steve Ford will serve as chief instructor. Steve has 21 years of experience riding for the NH State Police and is a Certified Police Motorcycle Instructor. He has completed 1,500 hours of Motorcycle Unit training and has logged over 200,000 miles on his personal motorcycle.

The class is open to all road going motorcycles (although it is not recommended for sport bikes). Students must wear a helmet, gloves, eye protection and over the ankle boots. Mirror and other fragile parts should be removed prior to the class and student may want to protect chrome parts in case of a dropped bike.

For registration information, see the Fishtail Riding School Web site.
