Americade has become a celebration of the comradery among all riders. The event annually draws 50,000 riders on all types of motorcycles. A ride down Canada Street – the Lake George main street – puts you dead-center in a celebration of all things two wheeled.

Americade began as a touring rally and features plenty of riding opportunities in Adirondacks and Vermont. There are group rides and self-guided rides to suit your riding style. All of the Americade sponsored rides include a lunch stop, which gives you the opportunity to share the experience and maybe win a prize.

Many Americade-goers look at the event as a vacation. There is plenty of non-riding entertainment like boat cruises, rodeo, parties, dinners and shows. Comedian Alonzo Bodden – a true motorcycle enthusiast – has become a regular over the past few years, performing his special motorcycle-laced brand of comedy.

New for this year is a two day block party. Americade is taking over Canada Street in downtown Lake George with a music stage, stunt shows and riding demonstations. Party goers will be able to purchase craft beers and enjoy the show.

Americade has always been a great opportunity to ride a brand new motorcycle and this year is no different. There will be demos from Honda, Indian, KTM, Suzuki, Victory, Yamaha, Ducati, Zero Motorcycles and Yamaha – to name a few – you’re bound to find something fun to try. Make sure to arrive early in the day to sign-up for the demo of your choice, since prime ride times are very competitive.

Internet shopping has put a major dent in brick-and-mortar shopping, but Americade Expo is still a strong showing of retailers with actual displays of real goods. Kuryakyn, Twisted Throttle, Mustang Seats, and Garmin are just of few of the vendors with booths. There is onsite UPS shipping and many vendors will install your purchase while you wait. You get $10 off your purchase of $50 or more at most vendors.
